Devin Diano - CEO:
Devin’s background in planning began in the City of Lethbridge where he graduated in 2016 from the University of Lethbridge with a degree in urban and regional planning. Devin began his planning career at the City of Lethbridge where he worked in the planning department while completing his degree and continued into a full-time role after graduation. Devin joined Palliser Regional Municipal Services in May 2018 as a Planner I and quickly took on many responsibilities above and beyond the position, leading into the Senior Planner position for Palliser. Through his role as Senior Planner he has also taken many additional responsibilities and gained accelerated experience that has given him a great foundation and understanding of the overall operations and management of the organization.
Kari Bott - Executive Assistant:
Kari joined Palliser Regional Municipal Services as an Executive Assistant in January 2008. She has over 25 years of office administration experience within the banking industry and the municipal sector. Kari’s responsibilities at Palliser are varied from financial administration to desktop publishing, while providing administrative support in order to deliver quality planning services to PRMS' shareholder-member municipalities and their ratepayers.
Garry Wilson - Subdivision Planner:
Garry began his employment with Palliser in 1995 by filling a contract position for six months to provide assistance to the Senior Technologist at the time. The position was extended due to a maternity leave of the person in a junior position and he later filled the permanent position when they chose not to return after their absence. In the winter of 2005, after the planner at the time moved on, Garry moved into the position of reviewing subdivisions and providing reports and related duties to both the municipalities and applicants.
Levi Hayworth - Planner I:
Levi joined Palliser in February of 2020 as a Junior Planner. Levi has a double major in Digital Communications & Media and Urban Studies from the University of Calgary with a focus on sustainability. Throughout his academic career Levi focused on the built environment and how people move through space. He has experience working with NGO’s and GO’s looking at the effects of policy on the built environment, as well as working with the City of Calgary and City Planners on the development of the Green Line, participating in as well as conducting civic engagements and creating design renderings. Levi has experience working with the Federation of Calgary Communities where he worked hand in hand with the Chinatown Community Association and carried out public engagements and asset mapping to develop local Area Redevelopment Plans. Levi comes to us with a strong interdisciplinary background and knowledge of urban design, planning and policy.
Shahira Jalal - Planner I:
Shahira has three years of experience in professional municipal planning. She graduated with a degree in Urban Studies from the University of Calgary and is currently in the process of acquiring an APPI (Alberta Professional Planner's Institute) certificate from the University of Alberta. She has lead long range planning projects such as park designs, land use bylaw re-writes and policy writing. Her short-range planning professional experience consists of reviewing development permit and rezoning applications, as well as providing general planning-related advice to her clients. She has additional skills in design and AutoCAD and utilizes her all-rounded approach to help build communities to be livable and sustainable.
Cody Dale-McNair - GIS Coordinator:
Cody joined Palliser in November 2019 as the GIS Coordinator. During his studies in Geography at the university of Lethbridge he worked summers with the municipality of Rockyford assisting in the village office and public works. After earning his degree in 2016, he worked as the Foreman/ GIS Developer for a vegetation management company in Drayton valley implementing a mobile mapping system to collect data and dispatch field crews. Cody’s experience in GIS and customer service gives him the ability to provide exceptional mapping services to PRMS’ shareholder-member municipalities.
